Julie Renee Hogsed Bowen, age 51, of Lilburn, Ga., passed away Tuesday, July 15, 2014, from complications of Melanoma.

Julie leaves behind to cherish her memory, her son and daughter-in-law, James “Jamie” and Sarah Elizabeth Bowen; brother, Greg Hogsed, all of Lilburn; mother, Betty Scott Jarrett of Tucker, Ga.; father and step-mother, Chet and Ivy Hogsed of Hayesville; aunt, Pat Hogsed Carter and her husband, Buddy; her fiance, Lance McGinty; cousin, Mike Carter; step-brother, and sisters, James, Jinger and Sherry Jarrett; several great aunts, second cousins and many friends.

Julie attended Berkmar High School and Oglethorpe University and was employed for many years at the office of Cardiology of Georgia. She was a caring, loving and fun person who always wanted to help someone else. She loved sports, especially watching games with Jamie, and she loved music. Most important, she accepted Jesus into her heart many years ago at Calvary Baptist Church in Lilburn, and is resting in His arms in her Heavenly Home.

Her funeral was held Saturday July 19, at 2 p.m. in the Bill Head Funeral Home, Lilburn Tucker Chapel with Rev. Michael Shreve officiating. Burial will follow in Floral Hills Memory Gardens, Tucker, Ga.
