Tips on how to hold a successful emergency drill

Remember when you were in school and the fire drill would go off? We were trained on exactly what to do when that alarm sounded. Don’t spend time grabbing your belongings, move fast, be orderly, go to the rendezvous point to be counted. Fortunately, the drills I remember didn’t include any real fires or other catastrophes, but they easily could have been real and we were ready.
Are you ready? What if a fire broke out in your home — would everyone know what to do? Sure, I know the point is to get out as fast possible, but a little preparation for this event would make it smoother and faster and could possibly save a life. Although I am talking about family drills, it’s just as important if you live by yourself.
