Ms. Wanda Bane Stuckey, 79, of Hayesville, passed away Tuesday, March 22, 2022 at her home. Ms. Stuckey was born Dec. 6, 1942 in Conway, S.C. to the late James Nelson Bane Sr. and the late Wyoma Louise Creel. Wanda loved attending church and her walk with the Lord was very important to her. The family was very important to Wanda and she cherished her time with them.

Survivors include a daughter, Ellen (Michael) Woods; brother, James N. (Belinda) Bane Jr.; sister, Barbara Bane; grandchildren, Chantilly Woods, Mikey Allison, Salinas Zepeda (Israel); great-grandchildren, Tiara Wech, Kamerin Woods, Walosi Welch, Mosi Welch, Emilio Panama Cruz, Sabastian Panama Cruz and Israel Salinas Zepdea; nieces and nephews; Joshua Thompson, Trae Bane, Larkin Giddens, Jared Bane and Amelia Richardt.

A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m.  Saturday, April 16 at the Cochran Funeral Home of Murphy with Jim Bane and Rev. Calvin Murphy officiating.

A memorial service will also be held in Robbinsville, N.C. at a later date.
